What is H3N2 Virus ?

H3N2 Is a subtype of Influenza A Virus, which is known for causing seasonal flu outbreaks around the world. According to WHO, H3N2 is a subtype of Influenza A virus which majorly affects humans.

 

Symptoms Of H3N2 :

Fever, Cough, Chills, Nausea, Vomiting, Sore Throat, Body Aches, Diarrhoea, Runny nose, Sneezing and Fatigue.

 

H3N2 can also cause respiratory illness in humans. In severe cases, the virus can led to pneumonia and even death, especially in vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems.

 

In serious cases, the infected person may experience difficulty in breathing, pain, discomfort in chest, difficulty in swallowing food and continuous fever. These symptoms last for five to seven days. H3N2 influenza is highly contagious. It can easily transmit from one person to another through infected droplets or Sneezes.

 

Real-time PCR can detect and differentiate the influenza A virus, influenza B virus, influenza A (H1N1) and H3N2 virus specific RNA.
